Hello
Once More into the Breach Dear Friends
Appeal time again and, as is usual for benefit appeals, more medical evidence is required - this time from the Aberdeen Royal Imfirmary's Consultant Immunologist Mr Richard Herriot.
I have said repeatedly here at Satori-5 that my experiences of the medical profession regarding M.E/MCS have been almost entirely abysmal. I have also said that dotted here and there along the way there have been the odd exceptions. Mr Herriot was not only one of these rare exceptions - he was also the very best example of them in my experience.
A Shining Example of his Profession
This man talked to me for a long time. He questioned me about all aspects of my illnesses and listened patiently and attentively to all my answers. All my questions too were answered fully - with supporting explanations from him whenever I needed them.
Sheer Professionalism with a Human Face
After our long talk, throughout which I sensed nothing but genuine and sincere interest, he physically examined me thoroughly, quite literally, from head to toe. I was also tested for allergic reaction to a substantial range of common allergy triggering substances [all negative] and bloods were taken for immunological testing which subsequently showed minor abnormalities. I wont get into all that here save to say that I was left with the very rare feeling indeed that, within his professional remit, no medical stone whatsoever was left unturned.
Thank you for your interest.
Namaste
Yours Sincerely
Gordon D McHendry
