"Letter to GP - dated 13.02.2002"
Welcome
You just wouldn't believe the sheer effort required, nor the degree of suffering involved, in producing a letter like the one below under the harrowing health and environmental circumstances that I was labouring under at that time [see "The 'Unblelievable' Crisis" section].
It is so easy to look at such a letter and confuse the seeming health and vitality in it for the actual health and vitality of the writer - when in reality nothing could be further from the truth. Invariably battling against severe M.E. and MCS symptoms [see M.E. and MCS symptoms supplements] it can take hours, sometimes days, and occasionally weeks to produce such a letter - with anything between several to a myriad of mini-work periods being required.
Yet again I state, quite clearly, that I am in dire straights, and invite honest dialog about the ever widening gap between the realities of my medical condition and my GP's stubborn and illusory ideas about it. My offer was never accepted.
When I would ask my GP about the vague/weak 'support' I would get from him in relation to 3rd parties like welfare benefit appeals, social services and so on, he was fond of saying that "he had to confine himself to things he could prove medically". Although I didn't like the major negative effects this had on my life I could nonetheless respect that - knowing how difficult these new diseases of M.E and MCS are for our front line medical professionals. Yet he stubbornly clings to bullshit ideas about me and my illness without a single blood test or any other kind of "medical proof" to back up these illusory views. Whatever happened then to confining yourself to things you could prove medically Doc? Obviously that noble rule only applies when it suits you, huh.

I will try to make the secondary documents refered to above available here too a little further down the line when I have managed to re-track them down. For the time being I have to continue to concentrate on the remaining load of primary documents that are still awaiting upload. Meantime...
Thank you for your time and interest.
