"Letter to GP - dated -3.06.2003"
Welcome
The medical evidence required for my DLA appeal on 11.06.03 that I had asked for in my letter to my GP of 25.05.03 was not provided. All that was offered me, via a breif receptionist note posted almost a week later by second class mail, was the oportunity to phone for a surgery appointment - the closest available being for almost 2 weeks after my appeal hearing date!
This was not the first time either that I had found myself on the receiving end of this kind of DLA benefit 'support' from my GP - as the three other, very illustrative documents, dated 24.06.99, 16.07.99, and 25.07.99 - all repeatedly asking for the same thing - clearly show. To view these three earlier documents simply close this pop-up window to return to the previous "Medical Correspondence" supplement and select each of them in turn from there.

Despite being made aware, in my letter to him of 22.05.03, of my DLA appeal hearing date of 11.06.03, I have still not recieved any of the medical evidence documents asked for to date - and it is now 13.06.03 - a clear two days beyond my appeal hearing date. And this despite my follow-up letter to him of 03.06.03 [above] advising him of my intention to take legal action if necessary to recover copies of those essential appeal hearing documents!
Fortunately I anticipated this kind of non-response this time around. Due to this and a few other more important issues I had already made a good case for an appeal hearing postponement - and, once again, had it granted. So, having plenty of time once again I will wait another few days for an appropriate GP response before seeing a solicitor and then accessing every kind of medical complaints procedure available to me.
Friday, 20.06.03. now and still no response from my GP to my recorded delivery letter of 03.06.03 [above]. Back on high dose antibiotics [repeat prescription] for a seemingly never ending series of dental infections [Jawbone Cavitation?] - relapsed because of it about 2 weeks ago - but badly several days ago, and had to miss my visit to the local solicitors office today as a result. Hopefully I will be well enough to see to that by Monday - before my GP surgey appointment on the Tuesday. Every time I get to the point of thinking "Well things can't possibly get any worse." somehow or other they do.
Sunday, 07.06.03. Still no response - and now he is off on holiday. Saw local solicitor who couldn't take my case due to "a conflict of interest" [the local surgery is a client of theirs]. Sought out another one though specializing in "Human Rights" issues who said he would have a look here at Satori-5 and get back to me withing a few weeks. Will update again here when I know more.
Thank you for your time and interest.
