Dear Dr Carter

Thank you for you letter of 20.7.99. I fully appreciate what you say about the DSS not taking “…into consideration comments or reports from patients own registered GP. But, as I tried to stress to you in my letter of 16.7.99, the basic medical confirmations I asked you for initially in my letter to you of 24.6.99 (copy again enclosed) are not for the DSS. They are for my use. For presentation initially to the C.A.B. so that I might gain their willingness to represent me at all at my appeal, (see enclosed C.A.B. letters dated 16.6.99 and 24.6.99 for some idea of just how important my request to you actually is). And finally for presentation to the DLA Appeal Chairperson and his/her two wing members all, of which, I can assure you, would be most interested in seeing the very medical confirmations I am asking you for.

So, for the 3rd time, I ask you to confirm, in writing, the 5 points outlined in my letter to you of 24.6.99 (as enclosed here) and to confirm specialist medical appointments which I currently have pending.

This letter will be hand delivered to your surgery by my wife first thing tomorrow (Mon: 26.7.99) to allow you time to read it before your 4/6 weekly visit to me on Tuesday 27.7.99. I look forward to seeing you then.
