This Credits webpage is the technical companion to its more personal counter-part the "Thank You's" webpage. I am a firm believer in giving full credit whenever and whereever credit is due. So, basically, what this means in action here is that if any person, website, or product contributes in some 'technical' way or another to the evolution of Satori-5 then full credit will be freely given on this webpage just as soon as difficult health circumstances permit it.

Walking The Walk
It is a healthy and humbling exercise to seek to fully appreciate the extent to which we are indebted, in all sorts of ways, to the fruits of other peoples labours - great and small. What follows below is simply my attempt to walk that particular talk with regard to Satori-5.

In the past looking at a computer monitor for more that 20/30 minutes would make me very ill; not now. I bought just two of these little wonders and put them either side of my computer monitor and now - no more bad brain problems at all within that ridiculously short time, and I can now considerably beyond those narrow margins too.

Presently looking for a reliable supplier who doesn't charge a ridiculous £10 for postage [as most seem to do]. Think I may have found one - but have to check with them first. If it pans out I will put full contact details here for anyone who may be interested.

For their "Teach Yourself HTML Visually". Again an outstanding product. Pre ME/MCS/HRS I used to be an avid reader. Nowadays, after 20/30 minutes of reading [often even much less] my brain disintegrates due to the damage inflicted on it by those illnesses. This book helps me no end to cope with that problem while working on Satori-5.

Having no memory at all worth speaking of these days this book was invaluable as a quick reminder and teacher. It is fully illustrated with nice big idiot-proof pictures throughout - which was just as well in my case as I am now a borderline moron. Highly recommended.

"ME, or Chronic Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome, is primarily a brain disorder which typically occurs in a vulnerable individual, often at a time of stress, as a consequence of a viral or recurrent viral infection. CFIDS Report

      "Today, there is widespread agreement among both patients and researchers that the name 'Chronic Fatigue Syndrome', and the 1994 research definition, is inadequate. However, it has been more difficult to reach a consensus on a suitable replacement. Many in the CFS community feel that the name “Chronic Fatigue Syndrome” severely trivializes, broadens, and leads to a misunderstanding of the illness. This view led to an eventual merging the phrase ”Immune Dysfunction” into the name, thus the frequently utilized term, CFIDS. The strong tendency of the illness to begin with a virus has also no doubt led to the popularity of the term CFIDS."

      "Until the CDC has the courage to reform the CFS case definition, it is fair to suggest that the CDC’s lengthy and complex definition for CFS should be taken with a grain of salt and a much simpler version will suffice."

      "We have lived in isolation from the community and family for six years, because there are chemicals and chemically perfumed products everywhere.       "James can't read very well and can barely write. My husband and I are in our fifties. What do we do with James? He has been asking for about the last year to go to school - where? He needs education and socialisations - where? The School of Today Rockhampton is a chemical free school and no perfumes - but no one has followed their lead. My fear grows each day for his future - the six years of isolation which meant avoidance of all the chemicals in society that made him so ill, detoxification programmes and homeopathic treatments and nutrient thereapy etc., have helped him to improve substantially, but he will have to remain very careful indeed"

      "Why the name*Milieuziektes* or Environmental Illnesses? Because a lot of illness phenomena find their origin in environmental circumstances. "TETRA stands for TErrestrial Trunked RAdio. It is the new national police radio system, operated mainly by O2 under the brand name of Airwave. Planned since early 1990, the contract was given in March 2000 to BT and Motorola, without going to tender. Since that time, BT has split its business and the Airwave contract went to the section of the company that deals with mobile networks. This was initially called O2, then mmO2, and now back to O2. However, since the contract was awarded, the European Commission has found the British Government guilty of unlawfully limiting the contract to tender to TETRA systems only and in our opinion guaranteeing the contract to O2. The existing contract is unlawful as it contravenes European competition laws as defined in the treaty of Rome."
